angels
Angels are heavenly creatures that were created by God at the very beginning of existence. They are holy creatures who live their lives according God's will. With that said, their behavior must reflect their Maker. While occupying the earth, they have free will and are subject to punishment if they make poor decisions. There is no way to kill an angel but, if suffering an incredible injury (especially by a dark weapon), they will be sent back to Heaven until they fully recover. With senses that surpass any other species, they sense and heal quickly. There is no lifespan to an angel, they are immortal and their years have no number. They are able to call upon weaponry that is holy, meaning it was created in Heaven itself. Angels must submit to the orders of archangels, who are matched in ability but higher ranked in Heaven.  While archangels and angels are available for play, God is left as a NPC.

demons
When Lucifer and a third of the angelic population rebelled against God, they were cast out of Heaven and made a life in rebellion. Once angels before their fall, their senses are enhanced and they are also immortal. However, the weapons they forge are unholy and can heavily injure an angel. Demons are unable to enter holy buildings, such as churches and synagogues, and they can also be harmed by holy objects. Lucifer is a NPC.

humans
Humans are the weakest species and have a short lifespan of 100 years. They are vulnerable to disease and death by severe injuries. Humans have no supernatural ability unless they are gifted, which means they have one ability that makes them one step beyond human. Manipulating elements, flight, invisibility, etc... one ability per gifted human. If a human is turned into a vampire or lycanthrope, they are stripped of their ability.

lycanthropes
Lycanthropes, or werecreatures, are not immortal. They live up to 500 years, with their appearance slowing down once they reach their late twenties. Lycanthropes are bitten and born. Scratches infect a human to the point where they are turned and there is no avoiding this if contact is made. Lycanthropes shift into beastly form and, with age and training, are able to control their shifts. However, they all must shift at the full moon.

shapeshifters
Like lycanthropes, shapeshifters have the ability to shift into another form, however the two are very different from each other. Shifters are born, never turned. Shapeshifters are able to shift whenever they choose and are not bound by the full moon. They live no more than 500 years, with their appearance slowing in aging when they reach young adulthood. Shapeshifters can shift into one animal form, but are able to shift into another later on in their adult life.

vampires
Vampires are undead creatures who are immortal, but capable of death by decapitation and fire. Sunlight is toxic to a vampire and incredibly painful. Jewelry wielded by witches successfully allow vampires to roam in the sunlight. A stake to the heart paralyzes a vampire to an unconscious state that will not end until the stake is removed. Vampires are never born and are not able to reproduce. A human is turned into a vampire at the point of death, when he consumes a vampire's blood. They have tremendous strength, senses and can even fly. Vampires feed on human and animal blood. Drinking blood from angelic and demonic creatures results in death and the blood of lycans and shifters will make them horribly ill.

witches
Witches are not immortal but can live up to 500 years. They are not immune to disease but are able to heal themselves and protect themselves from hazardous illness with the help of magic. Witches use magic by manipulating the earth and using natural energy and elements around them. Someone cannot be turned into a witch, but a witch can be turned into a vampire or lycanthrope. Once turned into another race, they lose their ability use magic. Witches are stronger within a coven and sometimes use items to strengthen their spells (crystals, candles, etc). Witches can get pregnant and are with child for 9 months.

hybrids
With the exception of angel/demon hybrids, most hybrids are not immortal. Humans mixed with angelic or demonic heritage have a 50/50 chance of being immortal. However, depending on their heritage, other species live many years. For example, a human/angel hybrid would have an extended life of around 500 years because, while angels are immortal, humans are not. They would have an ability  and advanced senses, but they would not have all of the abilities a pure angel would. The same would go for a human/demon hybrid. There are many combinations of hybrids available for play, but no vampire hybrids are physically possible. Vampires are unable to procreate, so no one can be born a vampire hybrid. Also, if a human/shifter/witch is turned to a vampire, their previous abilities are no longer a part of their life. From that moment, they live as a vampire and nothing more.

Other species are welcome and, if a certain one becomes popular in play, guidelines will be posted. Otherwise, we just ask you be reasonable with how you play your character. Sirens, mermaids, ghosts and other awesome beings are all welcome!
